Parallels and Quest Software Partner to Deliver Valuable Hosted Application Solutions to Service Providers
Parallels and Quest Software announced a new partnership agreement that will enable service providers to drive more revenue faster with three essential solutions targeting specific customer workloads available within Parallels Automation and Parallels Plesk Panel Suite.
These solutions enable Service Providers to deliver self-service Microsoft® Exchange migration services to Microsoft® Office365 or Hosted Microsoft® Exchange, as well as Desktop-as-a -Service deployment and management services, and remote network monitoring and management services.
As part of the agreement, Quest has now certified its Microsoft Exchange Migration and Desktop-as-a-Service software under the Application Packaging Standard (APS) for certified cloud applications and services. The APS standard benefits Quest and other Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) by providing access to a vast sales channel of more than 5,000 Parallels service providers and resellers that serve more than 12 million small and medium businesses (SMBs). In turn, hosters and other cloud service providers have access to Quest’s APS-certified applications and the growing variety of other APS-enabled applications and services that are easy and ready-to-deploy.
Working together, Parallels and Quest enable partners to differentiate their services with value-added support for a set of solutions targeting specific customer service needs. Service Providers using Parallels Automation and Parallels Plesk Panel Suite can quickly and easily add Quest’s APS packaged services while generating higher average revenue per user (ARPU).
Parallels’ agreement with Quest Software adds three essential hosted application solutions to Parallels Automation and Parallels Plesk software, enabling Parallels’ Service Provider customers to on-board customers faster, differentiate their service offerings, and ensure network availability and uptime:
- Microsoft Exchange Migration: Zero-footprint migration to hosted Microsoft Exchange environments, now APS-certified
- Virtualization: Deployment and management of Desktop as a Service and other desktop virtualization solutions, now APS-certified
- Network Management: Remote network performance monitoring and configuration management (soon to be APS-certified)
