10 Things I Hate About .... The RDP 6.0 Client
Friday, 30 March 2007 by Michel Roth
OK, that´s a little bit exaggerated. OK, it´s a complete lie. I like the new RDP Client, if only for the greater resolution. No, actually this blog is to inform you about an article that the Terminal Services Team has up what feedback they have received from the community on the RDP 6.0 and what they are going to do with it. It think it is great that they are being so open in their communications! Anyway, the list on annoyances is topped (not surprisingly) by the new security features of the RDP 6.0 Client:

#1: When using Remote Desktop Client 6.0 to connect to a computer running Windows 2003 Windows 2000, some users are forced to enter credentials (user name and password) twice in a row - once at the TS client, and again at TS server.
#2: Saved credentials (user name, password) do not work. I don't know how to edit or delete my saved credentials.
#3: RDP 6.0 client provides no easy way to save credentials for the target server similar to what we had in RDP 5.0 client.
#4: Credentials entered in TS client get rejected when connecting to Windows Server 2003.
#5: When connecting to Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2000 using RDP 6.0, I am seeing a new credential UI prompt which I don't like.
#6: The pre-populated user name in the credentials dialog does not match the user name that is in the RDP file.
#7: How to suppress the ‘Remote Desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer you want to connect to..." security warning message?

Read the entire post here. Really, read it because you´re bound to run into one of these things yourself.
