Nwho? That was what I thought as well. Just another "virtualization" press release full of hot air. But when I started to read into it, it seems that NComputing has quite an interesting take at things. Things as in being related to our industry very much.
I just read a pretty interesting blog article by Rakesh Malhotra, a System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) Product Manager at Microsoft in which he details the plans for SCVMM to also manage VMware ESX Servers. The article is pretty head-on with statements like "We think we can do a better job"...
If you have not heard about System Center, you must come from outer space. Even so, Microsoft shows it's open to sell software to anyone help educate everyone that they can. While, they're at it they'll teach you how to deploy Softgrid with SCCM as well.
Just in case you never get to attend a BriForum, IT Forum or IT Summit
and you still want to "meet" some members of the Terminal Services
team, don't worry. Adam Carter has met some members of the team and
recorded it.
Probably the most used tool when working with licenses in CPS 3.0 and beyond would be the License Management Console. If you need more power then you would probably need to use LMstat. Citrix has released a tool to help you with LMstat.
