Additional Improvements In Terminal Server Client Printing In Windows Longhorn
Sunday, 06 May 2007 by Michel Roth
The Terminal Service Team has blogged about some of the additional improvements that have been build into Windows Server Longhorn. Nothing as huge as TS Easy Print but definitely still some stuff you need to know about. In a nutshell the mentioned improvements are:

Redirect Default Printer Only GPO
Microsoft has introduced a new group policy (GP) to Longhorn Server to redirect only the default printer on the TS client machine. This policy will work with connections from any version of the TS client.

Scope of redirected printers
In Longhorn Server, the visibility of redirected printers is limited to the session where they are installed.

Per-session Default Printers
Another new feature in Longhorn Server is that the default printer is on a per session basis. Each session's default printer is independent of any other session's default printer, regardless of which user created the sessions.

Names of redirected printers are shorter
No more *Printer* (from %CLIENT_MACHINE_NAME%) in session %Session_ID% but just *Printer* (%SESSION_ID%)"

Be sure to read the entire acticle for all the technical details.
