Brian Madden mentions on his site that the website for BriForum USA 2007 (April 23-25 at The Gleacher Center in Chicago) is live. The site is open for registration and session proposal submission. One of the things he mentions, is that this time the conference will officially be about more than just Server Based Computing, like application virtualization, VDI and stuff like that.

"At the past few BriForums, we've had some technical sessions about "complimentary" technologies like Softricity application streaming and VMware-based VDI solutions.

At BriForum 2007, we're making it official. Instead of being a "Server-Based Computing" conference, we're going to be an "Application Delivery" conference. This means that we'll officially look at server-based computing, application virtualization, application streaming, virtual desktops, etc. Essentially, if the technology is used to deliver applications to users, we'll talk about it at BriForum.

It's important to note that BriForum will NOT become a "virtualization" conference. We don't care about virtualization for the sake of virtualization. What we care about is how users access their applications. If that involves virtualization, great! But we're not going to talk non-application virtualization topics."
