Citrix XenDeskop Release Dates And Pricing Announced |

There are going to be three version available of XenDesktop 2.0. All of them come with XenServer of course. Supposedly there will also be integration with Hyper-V and ESX. In the Beta this integration seemed to be problematic or even non existent, which makes sense in the case of Hyper-V.
Perhaps a picture says more:
So now for pricing. The press release states "Suggested retail pricing will begin at $75 per concurrent user." This applies to the "Standard Edition". As we now know, this does not include Ardence, currently one of the stronger aspects of XenDeskop 2.0. So what does one need to transfer to Fort Lauderdale? Well, that isn't very clear. The Citrix website does not seem to mention. I found another article that mentions the pricing though. Supposedly there's even a yearly subscription model..... "The annual license fee for XenDesktop is $45 per virtual desktop for the Standard Edition, $95 for the Enterprise Edition, and $140 for the Platinum Edition. Customers who sign up with Citrix's Subscription Advantage program can get perpetual licenses for the three editions for $75, $175, and $275." If anyone knows what exactly is the deal in terms of pricing, feel free to comment!
