Creating Management Shortcuts For The Consoles of your Hyper-V Guests |

Those of you who have been working with Hyper-V a lot might have wanted to very quickly connect to the console a VM hosted on a Hyper-V box. You can use the Hyper-V manager but isn't the fastest solution. What if you could use shortcuts like you use .rdp shortcuts today? Well you can.
The answer is in the application called VMConnect. VMConnect allows you to specify the name of the Hyper-V server and the name of the VM you want to connect to on the command line.
So,
let’s say that you have a Hyper-V Server called “MyHost” and a VM
called “My Guest” that you want to connect to quickly. All you need to
do is create a shortcut that points to VMConnect.exe with the following
syntax:
