First look at Web Interface 5.0
Friday, 29 February 2008 by Michel Roth
Back at Briforum Europe 2007, I attended a session by Thomas Koetzing that previewed the new version of Web Interface 5, one of the most important features in Presentation Server Delaware. Today, he has gotten Citrix' permission to publish an article about it to a larger audience.

So in case you did not read this article yet, you should definitely should. Thomas describes all the new features in Web Interface 5.0:

  • A new look and feel
  • Pre-Logon page
  • Improved application presentation page
  • A improvemed more advanced component to provide users with messages
  • A low graphics design for devices less suited for rich content ( mobile devices)
  • Wndows Server 2008 / IIS 7.0 / .Net Framework Support
  • Default option for PNagent Access over HTTPS

To me the most important improvement to me is that Citrix has finally understood that creating a beautiful interface does not necassrily mean that you deliver a bad product. Enter Mac. Anyway, go read Thomas' entire preview of Web Interface 5.0.
