How to install and configure Provision Networks Virtual Access Suite (VAS) Enterprise Edition
Sunday, 16 March 2008 by Michel Roth
My soon to be colleague Patrick Rouse has written an article on how to configure Desktop Services in the Provision Networks Virtual Access Suite (VAS) Enterprise Edition. Desktop Services is the name for the VDI component of the Virtual Access Suite Enterprise Edition.

The article guides you trough configuration of the VDI component. Along the way Patrick mentions some tips and additional tools you can use to get the job done much easier. If you read the article you'll see that the VAS, Enterprise Edition works somewhat differently to other (VDI)solutions. For one, you will see that VDI is "just an option" in the Virtual Access Suite. Don't get me wrong, I think this component it is the best VDI product out there (obviously I am a bit biased), but it just demonstrates the Provision Networks vision. To deploy any mixture of applications or desktops either via SBC (Terminal Server) or VDI (VI 3.5 or Virtual Iron) all you need is the Provision Networks Virtual Access Suite (VAS) Enterprise Edition 5.9.

Additionally, Patrick shows a really cool and innovative feature in Virtual Access Suite (VAS) Enterprise Edition 5.9, the publishing of applications on a virtual desktop.
