Wednesday, 21 November 2007 by Michel Roth
IGEL just announced that they have a new version of their Windows XP Embedded-based firmware ready. One of the features is that it has the RDP 6.0 client, which makes IGEL one of the first vendors who has done this.

The inclusion of the RDP 6.0 client is not the only new feature in this updated XPe firmware. It also support the Leostream connection broker. They have also added the capability to disable specific USB devices on the XPe devices. These features come in addition to the normal XPe based Thin Client features: local browser (IE 6), Media Player, PDF readers and the Java runtime.
