Matrox Partners With IGEL For Multi-Display Thin-Computing Solutions
Wednesday, 06 December 2006 by Michel Roth
Matrox Graphics today announced integration of its Matrox EpicA multi-display hardware and software suite for thin-computing with the new PanaVeo-Series of thin-client devices, developed by IGEL. This integration gives IGEL users the ability to connect up to four monitors simultaneously to a single PanaVeo thin client, which is especially useful in environments such as financial trading floors, command centers and industrial control rooms, where viewing large amounts of information in a limited amount of space is required.

Matrox EpicA hardware includes dual (EpicA TC2 and EpicA TC2-Lite) and quad (EpicA TC4) multi-display graphics cards, which feature low power consumption, support for high-resolution digital or analogue displays and support for Pivot mode. The EpicA software suite, installed on the server side, includes Matrox PowerDesk EpicA, which enables multi-display awareness for remote desktops, and Matrox PowerSpace EpicA, which allows for multi-display virtual workspace capabilities.

The IGEL PanaVeo-Series includes four models: The IGEL-7302 LX and IGEL-7602 XP incorporate the Matrox EpicA TC2 (dual) multi-display solution, while the IGEL-7304 LX and IGEL-7604 XP incorporate the Matrox EpicA TC4 (quad) multi-display solution. The series features IGEL Clever ClientingŪ power, which boasts advantages such as low total cost of ownership, advanced security features, efficient central client administration, and performance tailored to meet individual customer needs.
