Microsoft Windows Server "Longhorn" Beta 2 Terminal Services Gateway And Remote Programs V
Tuesday, 16 January 2007 by Michel Roth
Now there's a easy way for you to try out some of the Terminal Server capabilites in Microsoft Windows Server "Longhorn" Beta 2. THe lab seems to be dated a September 2006 but I'm pretty sure that I have not of it before. Allthough the title of the lab suggests otherwise this lab does cover every major new feature of Longhorn Terminal Server (being TS Gateway, TS Web Access and Remotre Programs):

"Terminal Services Gateway (TS Gateway) and Remote Programs are new server roles included in the Beta 2 version of Microsoft® Windows Server® “Longhorn”. TS Gateway enables authorized remote users to connect to terminal servers and remote desktops on the corporate network, from any Internetconnected device. TS Gateway uses Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) over HTTPS to form a secure, encrypted connection between remote users on the Internet and the remote computers on which their productivity applications run. Remote Programs are programs that are accessed remotely through Terminal Services and behave as if they were running on the end user’s local computer. Users can run Remote Programs side-by-side with their local programs. If a user is running more than one remote program on the same terminal server, Remote Programs will share the same Terminal Services session."
