New Visionapp Products For Citrix Presentation Server To Be Launched At Citrix Solution Summit

Visionapp has jumped into 2006 with a newly expanded line of products for terminal server / Citrix environments that allow for full automation of installation and operating processes (lifecycle management) and for secure, flexible, portal-based access to applications. The company will be representing the new versions of visionapp Platform Management Suite (vPMS 2006) and visionapp Access Portal (vAP 2006) to the public for the first time at the Citrix Solution Summit, taking place in Orlando, Florida, between January 29 and February 1, 2006.

Both products are integrated into the visionapp Control Center (vCC), a common administration console, marking the first time that application management and access will be merged into a single framework. The 2006 version of visionapp Platform Management Suite incorporates a number of special new features, such as expanded deployment functions. This means that, effective immediately, Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) will also be available as a deployment tool this is in addition to the expanded in-house deployment mechanism (visionapp Installation Control Service, or vICS). Furthermore, the solution package includes more than 250 settings specific to terminal server / Citrix, an expanded array of ready-to-use package templates and new import/export options for server infrastructures that optimize automation processes for installation and operation within a Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 environment.
