Project S-Bend: Alerting for Citrix Configuration Logging |

So the way S-Bend works, is that it provides you with the ability to receive alerts whenever a
change has been made to the Citrix farm. Of course a prerequisite is that Configuration Logging ( introduced in Citrix
Presentation Server 4.5 ) has been enabled. For those of you that don't quite remember what Configuration Logging is, let me briefly explain. Configuration Logging is a (underrated ) feature of This was a nice feature but as with Jason's Web Interface for Resource Manager, Jason saw what Configuration logging was missing: alerting. Without S-Bend you could only know about changes made to the farm by running a report on the Configuration logging database by use of the Access Suite Console but that is only good for historical purposes. It basically cuts down on the bigger potential Configuration logging has. So thankfully Jason created S-Bend which allows you to set up alerting for Configuration logging so you can receive an email whenever something in the farm configuration has changed, for example the addition of an application or the removal of administrative account from the management consoles. S-Bend consists of adding a table to the Configuration logging database, a SQL trigger and a Windows service that sends an email. This is what Jason considers to be phase I, phase II will be about making it compatible with the Web Interface for Resource Manager! Download Project S-Bend, Phase I.
