Once upon a time, there were two companies building performance management tools geared towards Citrix environments. These companies were named Aurema and RTO. These companies were so good at what they did that Citrix decided to pay them great deals of money to use part of their performance management in their Presentation Server 4.0. Life was sweet.
Citrix probably was so satisfied with the Aurema product (or spotted a bargain) that they decided to buy Aurema all together... which kind of left RTO out in the cold. Or did it? Fact of the matter is that RTO continued to develop their technologies and today announced that their flagship performance management product TScale (4.0) will be part of Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect. Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect is one of the biggest competitors to Citrix Presentation Servers. Go figure...
