The New Version ThinPrint .print 7.0 Offers Print Management Including Cost Control
Wednesday, 03 May 2006 by Michel Roth
In addition to the proven features of compression, bandwidth control, and SSL encryption, the new print management solution version 7.0 of ThinPrint’s ThinPrint .print now offers a tool for analyzing the costs of printing in a network.

In addition to the .print Tracking Service, the new version 7.0 offers other features that reduce the cost of printing by simplifying administration. A new administration tool, the dynamic printer matrix, is a matrix that lets administrators automatically assign the right printers to their users, including printer drivers, appropriate transfer protocol, and optimal bandwidth setting. ThinPrint’s driver free printing can now also be used in conjunction with thin clients and print boxes to simplify administration. Also new: once a single server has been configured, its configuration can be transferred to other servers using the Microsoft Management Console. As of version 7.0 ThinPrint’s driver free printing technology version 7.0 is also certified by Microsoft. That makes rollout in larger environments significantly easier.
