Friday, 07 September 2007 by Michel Roth
Around one of the more well-known players in the Virtualization market space, Vizioncore, a lot of stuff has been happening recently. Earlier this year Quest Software acquired a majority stake in Vizioncore. Some time later, Quest Software acquired another virtualization management company called Invirtus. These two acquisitions have made for a pretty impressive combined product line, presented from Vizioncore. Since chances are that you might run into more and more of these kinds of environments, this is what Vizioncore is offering today:

vRanger :Backup and restore solution for virtualized environments.
vCharter : A virtualization performance monitor;
vReplicator: makes replicated copies of running VMs.
vMigrator: Migrates virtual machines to new hardware platforms.
vOptimizer: formerly VM Optimizer, which compresses the file behind a virtual machine.
vConverter: P2V and V2V tool.
vPackager: VMware's Snapshot and Microsoft's Difference Disk snapshotting tools
