ThinPrint now offers print solutions for Desktop Broker for Citrix Presentation Server™. The .print Virtual Desktop Engine and the .print Application Server Engine with their well-proven DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology virtualize printer drivers and therefore also create total independence from hardware, operating system, application, and physical location for printing. Virtualization is the key to running operating systems and applications independently from computing hardware. Desktop Broker for Citrix Presentation Server supports this trend by offering a dynamic way of delivering different types of desktops to office workers through Citrix Presentation Sever. Workers enjoy the freedom to access their respective desktop to serve their needs while the IT department benefits from lower TCO and increased security. Today, the freedom to access different types of desktops with almost any type of connection drives the need for a professional print solution that allows for printing system virtualization. Without ThinPrint’s proven technology, the applications are directly connected to the printer’s hardware by the relevant printer drivers, and the operating system is also predefined because 32-bit printer drivers cannot be used in 64-bit environments or vice versa. ThinPrint’s .print Virtual Desktop Engine and the .print Application Server Engine are the solutions to this. DRIVER FREE PRINTING removes the rigid and inflexible tie between application and the printing hardware needs. In addition, it allows the mixed use of 32- and 64-bit environments, while a compression to 1% of the original print job size removes any limitations on the connection’s bandwidth. ThinPrint’s .print technology is supported by 30 OEM Partners providing devices with integrated .print Clients. This package provides a complete virtualization of the print system including hardware and physical location. More info here.
