Tranxition Introduces User Virtualization Solution
Tuesday, 25 August 2009 by Michel Roth
Tranxition today announced AdaptivePersona a user virtualization solution. It looks and sounds really cool. It's like just the user data part of Atlantis / Unidesk and more?

Combining Tranxition's patented "personality hypervisor"-the industry's first user-focused client hypervisor- and unique "SmartShadowTM" system for user settings translation, AdaptivePersona offers an innovative method to managing personality across increasingly complex and dynamic desktop environments.

To truly virtualize the user experience, AdaptivePersona uses a personality hypervisor to intelligently intercept and manage desktop personality activity while at the same time leveraging SmartShadow -a thesaurus-like capability-to translate user customizations to the current running OS or application.

Tranxition's AdaptivePersona provides the only user virtualization solution that truly decouples desktop personality from the desktop regardless of OS and application versions.  This allows IT staff to manage desktops as commodities while still providing the rich personalized experience users require and demand. Suggested single user, list prices range from $24 per named user for a "Foundation" version focused on VDI, and up to $38 per concurrent user for an "Advanced" version that includes additional features such as SmartShadow translation for more complex desktop environments.

the
underlying

(HW/OS/Apps/Data)
can
change
without
significantly
impacting
the

AdaptivePersona
uses
a
patented
technology
to
intelligently
abstract
and
encapsulate
deskto personality
elements
(application
settings,
OS
settings,
files,

outside
of

Also
unique
to
