TROY Announces The Availability Of ThinPrint Technology
Thursday, 02 June 2005 by Michel Roth
TROY announced the availability of ThinPrint technology as part of its print server product line. With ThinPrint technology, print jobs can be decompressed directly at the networked printers, which minimizes the WAN or LAN bandwidth requirements. With this solution, TROY is supporting the growing customer base currently utilizing ThinPrint technology in their server-based environments.

The use of ThinPrint requires a licensed ThinPrint .print Engine to be implemented in the company's network server and .print clients in the local client workstations. The solution supports Citrix MetaFrame/MetaFrame XP, Windows NT/4.0/2000/XP, Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server, Windows .net and Tarantella.
