• Defrag the Host system drives • Defrag the Host pagefile with Sysinternals PageDefrag • Exclude VHD file from your virus scanner • Stop unnecessary services (such as Alerter, Spooler, Smart Card and Wireless) • Ensure you don't have utilties such as Adobe PrintMe in your Startup groups as per KB 314866 Read more here.
