VisionApp Annouces Freeware Versions Of visionapp Access Portal (vAP) And visionapp Platform Managem

Visionapp has announced the release of freeware designed for full automation of installation and operation processes (Lifecycle Management) in small Terminal Server / Citrix environments as well as secure, flexible and portal-based access to applications. The 2006 Express versions of the visionapp Access Portal (vAP) and visionapp Platform Management Suite (vPMS) products allow to manage up to three servers of a Citrix Presentation Server farm and one web server, with application access provided for up to ten users. The 2006 Express versions are based on the same state-of-the-art technology as the current full versions of the vAP 2006 R2 and vPMS 2006 R2 visionapp products, also presented in Edinburgh.

With this freeware package, visionapp targets small Citrix environments or companies that are still in the construction phase and, right from the beginning, wish to take advantage of the benefits provided by efficient installation and operation management or flexible application access. In addition, the freeware package provides visionapp sales partners with excellent sales arguments to convince their customers of the benefits of the visionapp solutions in a most uncomplicated manner.

The installation packages or package templates provided with vPMS 2006x simplify the configuration and administration of up to four servers, e.g. for a Citrix server farm consisting of three servers and a web server for web-based application access. The multilingual vAP 2006x freeware features 10 configurable portal users who are given access to the applications of a Citrix Presentation Server farm via a web server.
