Win32 Client Supported Configurations for Pass-Through Authentication (SSON) Of Windows Credentials
Thursday, 02 March 2006 by Michel Roth
The following is a clarification of configurations that are supported and unsupported for Pass-Through Authentication (SSON) of Windows Credentials for the Presentation Server Win32 Program Neighborhood and Program Neighborhood Agent clients, versions 7.100 and later.

Supported Configurations
• Running the Win32 ICA client on the console of a Windows XP/NT 4.0/2000 Workstation or 2000/2003/2003x64 server, in a RDP connection to a Windows XP machine and in a Remote Console Connection to a Win2003 server. MetaFrame Server does not need to be present on any of these machines.

• Running the Win32 ICA client as a Pass-Through client in a Terminal Services Desktop session on a 2000/2003/2003x64 server when a MetaFrame Server is also installed on the same server. The connection to the Desktop session can be an RDP or ICA connection.

Unsupported Configurations
• In a Windows 2000/2003/2003x64 Terminal Services Desktop session when no MetaFrame Server is present. The connection to the Desktop session can be an RDP or ICA connection.

• In a Terminal Services Initial Program session. MetaFrame can be present or not, using ICA or RDP to connect to the session.

• In an ICA published application session. For example, publishing the Win32 client in a seamless or fixed Window session, or another application from which the client could be launched – neither resulting in the presence of the Desktop.
