Wyse Provides All It's Thin Client With Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect
Thursday, 19 January 2006 by Michel Roth
Wyse is now providing all of its thin clients with Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect software to provide customers with secure and centrally managed access to the enterprise applications that they are running on their Windows Terminal Server, IBM Mainframe or UNIX/Linux and legacy hosts.

As a browser-based web-to-host connectivity solution, PowerTerm WebConnect enables Thin Computing organisations to improve application accessibility and simplify management of their network, resulting in increased user performance and productivity.

The inclusion of the software provides a number of benefits to Wyse customers. For example, remote users can access centrally hosted applications regardless of their location, with Windows applications appearing as if they were installed on users' local desktops. Meanwhile, PowerTerm WebConnect enables administrators to action enterprise-wide updates and installations centrally, so saving valuable time and reducing their Thin Computing total cost of ownership significantly.
